Maintenance History:

Periodic inspections, pad changes and caliper service – 4 pad changes front and rear over service period, approximately every 40,000 miles. No rotor replacement necessary during the 12-year service life.

Brake inspection revealed typical pad and rotor wear, including heat-checking, bluing and scoring, consistent with components at their end of service life.

NOTE: In 2009 after taking delivery of the new truck and before placing it into service, the City of Seminole Fire Maintenance shop made the decision to perform a “swap-out” of the new truck’s un-used brakes with Power Brake products. Therefore, this truck has been running Power Brake Diamond Technology brake rotors since the truck was originally placed into service approximately twelve years earlier.

The City of Seminole, in Pinellas County Florida, has been using Power Brake Diamond Technology® rotors since 2004. Their entire fire/rescue air brake fleet is outfitted with Power Brake rotors, thereby dramatically improving fleet reliability while maintaining the highest standards in brake performance and vehicle safety.
